Canary Islands are situated in the subtropical area, on the north of Tropic of Cancer, between 13° and 19° longitude, and 27° and 30° latitude. On the east side on the same latitude we can find the African continent where is spread the largest desert on the planet. The Canary Islands in spite of being geographical part of Africa have been politically merged into Spain in the XV Century. The Archipelagos of the Canary Islands contains 7 Island and 4 islets, all transformed into National Parks.
